Good luck to all those CS members striking today. My organisation is one of those affected by the fallout from the floods, so we won't be taking part, but good luck to those involved.

In fairness the strike had been all over the news for the past month rob. No way they were going to open it. In public service strikes all offices like that are generally closed. Is it something you can do tomorrow?

Ah okay. I'm sure you can sign on tomorrow, they can't say a bit to you when the place was closed.

But yeah as a general rule of thumb if a place like that is affected by strikes, it won't be open as people won't generally pass the pickets.

I wish!

Yes, they have jobs, and are doing the work of 3/4 ppl, for the wages of 1, no overtime.

And they have to endure the likes of you on a daily basis. No job pays enough to deal with that.

Sorry now but pity about them not getting over time they are the most ungreatful bunch I have ever clapped eyes. . There are Families all over ireland today worrying about how they are going to get over christmas while the civil servants are up the north spending their money rather than picketing. . . I'm not disputing the job they do it has to be hard work but they should really pull their heads out of their asses and realise they are not the only ones. . frustrated

ok this is JMO i have no sympathy for teachers they get payed for 3 months holidays and then take up another job in the summer for more money they take course days as days off as well and get payed for them also also have no sympathy for any who who work in public service offices, but guards they cant picket or EMTS im not sure about the fire service, fire brigade, and nurses and doctors have the biggest and toughest job out their,i personally dont think they should be deducted, but look we all are to well off and had it to good for a long time the banks got us into mess all the government are trying to do is get us of the mess
