In fairness though JH, when they won the league last was only 2 years after our last win, so they've had as bad a time. Not trying to rub it in or anything CA. I always liked Leeds.

what are you on about? enniskillen is part of the united kingdom, if you shop up there, you are contributing your money to the uk, not the republic.. dunno

Hmmm, have to agree to disgree with you there. If Liverpool were bottom of the blue square premier, I'd still support them. My interest may fluctuate but I'd still have to support them. JMO.

Not that this has anything to do with christmas shopping.laugh

thats your own choice isnt it.. well i know a family that went to asda for xmas shopping last year, it came to 340 euro after the conversion.. they went to tesco and priced the exact same things, it came to 560 euro.. so you stay down there and do your patriotic shopping, the taoiseach will give you a medal.. ill go up north and save meself a nice few quid laugh

Oh don't get me all republican, you wouldn't like me when I get all republican.laugh

Ireland is Ireland and this up there down here thing is a pet peeve of mine. After all we are not talking about different geographic units. Some people in the 26 counties can virtually piddle across the border it's so close to them.

This appeal to 'patriotism' inferring that Newry is somehow in a different country shows us how republican the so called republican party are these days.
frustrated

That said, let's not forget that this option is only really a priviledge available to parts of the country. It isn't really an option for People in Munster to travel that distance just for a few bargains. Whatever you'd save you'd spend in petrol getting there.
