When I was a kid my dad used to let me sip from his glass of beer, I remember feeling all grown up, ahhh the good ole days.
Unfortunately though when I got into my teens I used to pinch a few bottles here and there for me and my mates to drink in the bush. The rites of passage, some things havn't changed

Brushing my Grandmas hair every night when I would stay with them. Grandma would get Grandpa tucked in for the night, he was 20 years older than Grandma and could not speak a word of English, only German. Then she would come out, sit in her wooden rocker with her German Bible and read while I brushed her beautiful hair. She never had her hair cut and it hung clear to the floor.
