But you are putting yourself in the place of the parent, not baby?
The baby might wake up during the night when hungry but when when it sleeps it sleeps very well. Not a care in the world and gets heavy and restfull sleep. By your arguement you could say i slept like a completely paralyzed person? Just cause they are not moving and communicating does not mean they are in a restfull state?

The hag........its when you wake up but you cant move your body, somepeople freack out andd think that there is someone in the room holding them down...hence the name.
I suffer from it, its awful but i never see anyone in the room so thats a blessing.

i got that before for a short period. felt like i was being smothered and couldnt move. not nice

can be pretty horrible experience. Had a really scary night of it one time.....has not happened to me in a while now though.

actually i think i got it when i was in my final year in college. so yeah maybe stress has something to do with it. and yeah its absolutely horrible quite traumatising, i think i heard it referred to as 'the beast' before as well

I used to get that sometimes if i had a long weekend on the beer. It's not a nice experience at all.

never heard it called the Hag or the Beast before...
and the worst thing, when it happens you're scared stiff, and then your mind drifts off into a state of semi-sleep, but fully aware and terrified that its going to happen again - which it does
