Keeneland: I gave her advive...I told her she was being absolutely Ridicioulas saying she had a broken heart after 2 dates, and move on. If you want to pamper her thats cool but i just spoke my mind.

Well I done mine through a Kitchen which I think is alot better because honestly your not going to learn to deal with the stresses of a kitchen sitting in a class room.. JMO I can send you a few links to help you decided if you want the likes of Irish Hotels Federations and that will have alot of info about working in conjunction with a kitchen.. Plus if you go to failte Ireland they can possible give you a list of hotels that will take on commis chefs until they are trained... Sorry not interferring just trying to help.. LOL

No see you would work and do college between both you will be full time.. Sitting in a class room or cooking in a small kitchen cannot prepare you for a wedding of 200 or anythign that actualy matters you will however get to see these first hand in the kitchen.. Alot of guys that started work with us straight out of college left within a few weeks because they weren't prepared for the actual pressure that comes with the job.. JMO

I'm not pampering her or looking for brownie points as someone suggested. Why would i want brownie points? confused

I wasn't telling her just what she wanted to hear either. Okay maybe after two dates is way too soon to fall for someone but to me criticising someone for that is a bit like kicking someone when they're down. I know I wouldn't like someone making fun of me if i got hurt. Personally i just felt that instead of giving advice (which is what I'm guessing the OP was looking for when she put up this thread) some people just decided to stick the boot in and ridicule her instead. That's just my opinion though.....

Chatting online for some months. roll eyes Come on. She could have been chatting to Jack the Ripper. You only really know when you meet up with someone.

What was the lie? Did he lie about his age or did he lie about fathering 17 different children by 17 different women?

I went out with somone for over 10 years too, there is now way I was ready to date after 7 months.
