Q. folks....

Would you remain friends with someone who beat you, stole from you and cheated on you..????

I've a friend and they are trying to delude themselves into thinking thats the type of friends they want..

Personally (I've told the oerson) that you are better of out of their circle..

Guess you can lead a horse to water but you can't make it drink...

No, I wouldn’t remain friends with someone who beats me, steels from me and cheats on me. Frankly, I can’t imagine any of my friends doing those things to me... but I’m very cautious in my choice of friends (more cautious than while I choose spouses grin ).

But of course I’ll remain friends with someone who are beaten, stolen from and cheated on by her/his (who is it?) ex-partner or “friend”.

People usually manage on their own when everything is well, only when things are less well, then they need help, advice, comfort, perhaps even financial support – and then, if you are their friend, then it’s your time to be there for your friend. The moment of the truth, so to say.

That`s not a description of a "friend"!

That sounds like someone I`d call the cops for and lay a criminal charge........

You never know what people mean with “being friends”! Perhaps for someone it’s exactly the “friends” case.

But for me it more looks like spouses or ex-spouses case. The one behaves as ugly as he/she is used to – probably because they never have been rebuffed. And the other allows the offender to proceed… because… and here I don’t know what to say, as I can’t find any reason why an adult person would allow to treat her/him in that way.

dunno
