I will have a read now Rob.
I seen she picked a 9-1 winner that beat my selection. 9-1 is good pickin......well done her. cheers
I am a big place betting fan now rob. Get yourself on betfair or any other exchange and do small win bets and large place bets....Good profits to be made especially if you can get them matched larger. Give it a go mate. handshake

I had a read back and you were totally right. We have a Nap and NB just in case. Of course you can change rules in a competition if you have found a loophole being exploited. Its done all the time. And you explained it very well. He is the only one who seems to have picked it up wrong....His selection did not win anyway so he saved himself a point.

My selection for today was whitbarrow......he came 2nd at 6-1. I put 10 on to win matched at 7.2 and 50 place matched at 2.6...hence i lost my 10 but my place paid me back 130.
Bet in total cost 60 but even though i was second i still make a tidy 70 bills.
Its far better than each way betting cause you dont have to stake the same amount on the win as the place. I know if the horse wins you might be kicking yourself that you did not put half and half but it makes small but tidy profits. dunno

well he is gone now, he insulted me.. laugh fekk that, i wouldnt give him money if he won.

anyways back to the place market, lets say there are 8 runners and a 2/1 fav... 1/4 of the odds.. does that mean you get 1.50 on betfair for the place with 3 places... ??? if so, its fantastic for big bets... JMO

There only has to be 7 horses on the exchanges to get paid on 3 places too Rob......thats good too. No the odds are in decimals so basically 5.1 on betfair is basically 4-1 because they include your stake in what yoy will get back.
The place market does not work like a bookies....it is not always a quarter or a fifth....It is basically done on how many punters online are laying the horse. Where as you might only get a fifth of the odds in the bookies on the exchages you may get way higher.
It all depends on the internet market....some horses are shorter than in the bookies and some are way larger....it all depends how much money is being laid rather than bet on a particular horse online.
If you keep an eye on the place market and fancy a horse of about 5-1 you can get great deals. Also there are times when the place market is dead and its not worth your while. But its worth a look.
My advice would be to start with small minimum bets of 2 euro or so until you really get the hang of it cause there is no point in throwing money away. When you feel confident then start betting normal bets.

i got off to an awful start against you, i was minus 20 at one stage but i think i got back to minus 6, i was happy with that... im just in the minus now, i will be happy if i beat you, thats all i wanna beat... rolling on the floor laughing for some reason, my nap usually doesnt do so well but when im backing horses during the day, i usually get a great priced winner.. thats the beauty of the game handshake peace
