singlegalway: Think I'll have a day off tomorrow, nearly hit the wall about 10 times in the last 2 days not to mention the car getting stuck at a junction and wheels spinning under it and car coming towards me. Roads in west are very bad for weeks, this is not just week 3 for us!
Well Im seriously considering my options and if it snows here tonight I wont be going in tomorrow

areyoureadytogo: was in my local town today and i was walking on the street their was this old lady in front of me and next thing her feet go from under her and smack on the ground the poor lady..
so when i got to her she had split her forehead but luckily she never broke anything i didn't move her as i have basic 1st aid course done!
anyways getting back to the point should the council be gritting footpaths, main streets or everywhere people walk

They should! I have had one serious fall n a few near misses!!

and true i dont think kids know how dangerous ice can be...
was it like walking on air J?
jonathan_heart: yeah definitely should be done. i'm lucky im young(ish) and able footed (when sober), but its so much more dangerous for old people i bet most havent left their homes for fear of their lives, not to mention kids out and about playing their parents worried sick. its mad u couldve betted i was moon walking home the last few days

Jeez... you guys have it really bad. We've been cold here and a little frost in the am but nothing slippery about the roads.

Our roads had only thawed out a few days then we got a few inches of snow last nite.

And BG, my driving today was fine, it was my car that refused to do its bit and decided instead not to stop at the junction and cross the road anyway. My heart was in my mouth! Thankfully there was no car coming.
