leaving the ahem "depression" aside thats been discussed in depth already- alot of pontificating going on btw!
This is a tale where morals and respect went out the window, leaving depression aside- she had an affair "because she could" in the words of Bill Clinton.
Im not taking the moral high ground here but all the good things in life --love, togetherness, life partnerships trust all that go down the swanny after this situation....I think thats depressing..down with that sort of thing

Good post....it is depressing....how can they pick up the pieces after that? Because they love each other, because they are practicing christians, because they were childhood sweethearts?...crap when its over its over.... if she loved him she wouldnt have been having it off with a 21 year old boy!! Sad really.

I'm enjoying the fact the the Robinson house hold is falling apart. I've had to listen (like others on CS) to the two off them talk down to the nationalist community for the best part of 35 yrs..Telling me how I should be a god fearing christain. And how republican's were criminal's...

snowflake563: I disagree as the Iris Robinson case and Adams case are completely different. Peter Robinson knew what his wife was involved in and refused to disclose it , whereas Gerry Adams fully supported his brothers wife in taking the case to the relevant authorites.. There was no cover up with Gerry Adams and he cannot be blamed for what his brother done, whereas Peter Robinson on the other hand is a different story completely..
The only reason Peter Robionson made the emotional statement was because he was about to be exposed. he is as guilty as Iris in the cover-up...
