JAN_is: Well for goodness sake, what do you expect? It´s normal. Remember when you were young, 50 seemed ancient, it did to me!
Much as middle-aged guys and women would like to think they are still physically attractive to younger people, it just isn´t generally true.
I do think that there is a difference between that kind of attraction, and good customer service though. Bank clerks, shop assistants, and waiting staff etc, should always be ready with a smile and be friendly, regardless of the age of their customers/clients.
One of the reasons I love living in Spain is that there is far less age discrimination, young people mix and socialise with older people much more.
My usual young, male bank clerk always has a nice smile for me when I visit! The girls too it has to be said.
I like it when young ladies get up on a bus and offer me their seat. It's kinda cute. I always offer them the opportunity to then sit on my lap. I'm a nice old gentleman!

At our age younger men want what we have. Serenity in our lives and no drama! With all ages if your not complete alone, you will never have what you want.

RobertC2: I'm NOT cool........ I'm an above average intelligence guy with a not too severe mental health problem who can't hold down a decent long-term relationship with a woman.
The thing is I'm slowly growing up and slowly getting better, but I reckon it'd take at least another 200 years (at my rate of progress) to be considered 'normal' - and I'm not sure I wish to be considered 'normal' anyway........ even if it means I have to live on my own most of the time without the PERMANENT love of a good woman.
I just ain't going to live long enough to 'see the light' so to speak, and I'm resigned to a life of continual mental struggle intermingled with periods of awesome happiness!
