Internet dating lead me to a very long distance realtionship, it lasted quite a few months!
I would never do it again (the long distance)! Not worth the hassle or time consumed!

I know of a few couples who got together from internet dating, some just went for it while others met as friends and hooked up after months of been friends. I also think if a guy or girl is on dating site most the time it shows their are serious about meeting someone and you don't get the same from meeting someone in a pub at the weekend.

It may not work in the way you want it to, but while being on this site I have made friends, had great nights out, travelled to meets in Scotland and Sorrento and had a great time.

to be honest in most cases no. most people find it very confusing its often a case of trying to second guess the other person basically there's alot of suspicion around, and thats understandable its very different to encounters in person at least theres signs there you can read etc... but then again for some people it has worked, some even got married etc (a few from on here, if im not wrong), but personally im not a big fan of it, i'm more of a person for meeting people out in the real world, but thats whats good about this site theres meets organized fairly regular and some people end up being friends after, or more..

theres plenty of advice out there...
re several pics on your profile (smiling of course)some/all taken outdoors..etc
so many profiles just have one passport type one...
and to much info..aint good either..like a long list of requirements...most ppl will just move on...

I'm lucky enough to have found a great guy last year - of my years of dating each and every guy was so immature and time wasters, don't get me wrong I wasn't looking for the father of my kids or hubby but going out with someone for a few months and to have it all been a waste of time (I should have seen the prats for who they were) Anyway I found my man (hope he is the one, pure gent) last year before I joined this, joined to make more friends and cause I was snowed/frosted in over xmas. But I think it works for a few
