I havent been to confession for over 20yrs and it would be a case of.....Bless me father for I have sinned ... Why do you have to formally resign from any religion, it is ridiculous, there is a thing called free will. You can make your own decisions and choices in regards to who or what you want to worship. It seems everyone else is telling you what you can or can't be. Decide for yourself and live with your decision.

I did not read everyone's answer, but you must be a very good Catholic to worry about this. Why not just LEAVE? Is there a problem with this? Sorry if I seem so niave. It just seems simple to me, not like some of the other churches. Correct me if I am wrong....
