I have been in contact on CS with a lovely woman from the Philipines for the last six months. She has asked me to come and visit her to see would we be suitable for it going any further.

The thing is, i have never been to the Pilipines before and don't know what to expect.I would love to hear from some of you guys who may have already made a similar journey to the philipines to meet a lady you got to know from CS. . .all information and help appreciated. Thanks wave

One word of advice, A large number of Filipino women are family orientated, that means they will support financially their family.
This entails marrying a western guy and then sending HIS money back to the homeland.
A "Family" is not just mum and dad, it includes siblings grand parents uncles Aunts nieces and nephews etc etc.
A good friend of mine who worked in Cebu City married a wonderful and devoted lady, but ended up paying for her nephew to go to university. Not a cheap option.
So just be very very certain she is into YOU and not what your wallet can offer!!!!!!!!!!
Not all Filipinos are like this, but you have to be aware. professor

Make sure you get Hepatitis B shots, both here in China and in the Philippines it is a very common illness and very contagious.

I wouldn't do it; I think there are too many situations where this has lead to marriage; there have been cases of murder and even assaults by people.

I think you shouldn't but you are madly in love with an image; all i can say is get all of your shots and make sure you are in communication with someone at all times from your country.

You are going to a country where you know no one but her; danger danger danger

True that; My sister married a filipino and his sister already talked to her and asked if my brother in law dies, how are they going to split up the house and money.

My sister says, "ONE WAY"; to her! it's a culture to be honest that for me, Im' not into. Some strange stuff.
