Now to be hit is Madeira in Portugal. 42 dead thus far.
It seems to me that the world is changing at a frantic pace.
Why, i dont have a clue but many many lives have been lost and many more to come.
Through all the doom and gloom of the Irish economy, we should really be grateful for how lucky we are to be on this island. sigh

Just think about it.
The tsunami in the Indian Ocean.
Haiti.
Now these floods and land-slides in Portugal.
I somehow think Ireland will get over the floods and the ferocious bad winter we had.
Even though i could think of other places with far worse winters.

its tragic goings on..awfully sad...we have it easy in a lot of ways, yet no doubt we all complain when the slightest drop of rain falls( i know i do) its only when tragedies like the above mentioned take place do we realise how small our problems can be..

Natural disasters at decade low in 2009

frustrated frustrated

grow up and have some compassion....fallen or not is totally off the point...they happened and people died..

these events are awful humanitarian disasters with a magnitude of suffering that pushes the barriers of belief and beyond!!

so you should take your un-compassionate comments and propaganda attempts back to your own thread..

Hey, I was only reporting the data. Disasters are down! I know that is a disaster for the Climate bedwetters but there you have it. You should be happy about that? And yet you seem a little tetchy
