the ip address is not always static, if its a a mobile broadband for example it picks up diff ips each time it is turned on, a fixed line broadband is static, but can be modified and changed if he has gone to that extent, but the computer he logs in through has a seriel code which i am sure the mods on here have access too, so get in touch with them asap...then give whatever info they have to the guards and see what can be done..
i think for people to need materialistic things to make them happy its some kind of void in their life they try and fill.. just a personal opinion, there nothing wrong with wanting better things but to make it conditional is a bit extreme..
