I watched the Leinster Final today as a neutral suppoter.
Although, like a lot of people all over the country, was willing on Louth to beat Meath! (Its the underdog thing...for all you Meath fans!! No offense meant!)
Louth were robbed at the very end by that late late goal.
So...whats your views on it??
Its long time for video evidence in the GAA as far as I am concerned....

I agree it was daylight robbery but I'd be very surprised if they get one. Galway were unlucky to lose to Wexford due to a dodgy penalty so the GAA may be opening a can of worms if they did award one. An horrible way for Louth to lose though. Such a robbery.

The idiot fans assaulting the ref have probably decreased the chances of a replay too.

I think you're right but hopefully they get something. How the umpire missed it I'll never know. It was one of the worst decisions I've seen in any sport!

Personally after the display of their fans I think Louth should be kicked out of the championship.

Yep and in that case they'd have a case to answer to. You can't hit the ref, you can't chase him down the tunnel and you can't push the stewards. At the very least Louth should be heavily fined.

It is a shame for them, but their Fans' behaviour didn't do them any favours.

Louth should have won the match, that was the most ridiculous goal ever, but it doesn't make up for the way their fans behaved.

James_Pond: some of their fans

The number of them is irrelevent, if it was only 1 or 2 fans I'd agree with you, but there was an awful lot of them and they should be ashamed of themselves.

That's not to say that the umpire shouldn't also be ashamed of themselves.

Perhaps the fairest solution would be for the match to be replayed and Louth to also face a heavy fine. That way the louth team get the second shot they deserve, but the GAA doesn't give out the impression that thugs can just attack officials with no repurcussions.

In fairness to the Louth management team they did try to protect the ref from those scumbags.

(and yes by scumbags I mean the people who tried to assault the officials, not Louth people in general.)

i think that louth should hold their heads up high today and enjoy a moral victory and the support of all of ireland.a replay would be unfair on meath because its not their fault the umpires are idiots.
