Hi guys. Can anyone tell me the MPG I'll get from a 1.2 VW Polo?! I'm trying to accurately work out the fuel cost for an upcoming roadtrip but need to know this first! Cheers in advance...
Whats 'irrelevant' to you may not be to others though Whether it be to 'find' to 'be found' or otherwise! Bring on the love I say....whoever or wherever you are! I'm here! Ready n waitin...patiently!!
I've never really thought about it that way...as in that the man of me dreams is out there somewhere just waitin to be found! I live in hope that he'll find me first though!
Thanks to everyone for your input! Was just curious as to what the different responses would be! @ Tanner...no tips! Dt think I'd have the bottle to do such a thing either!
...or would you ever ask someone out that you regularly come across in your day to day life and seem to hit it off with...ie at work, going in & out of a shop etc etc?? Just curious to hear your views guys!
Charming as ever John!! Well I'm talking to you ok! Its not cool or clever airing your dirty laundry here in public. If you have an issue with the lady take it up with her in private and not be showing yourself up!
Ah now Snowy you're here long enough to know that its par for the course for the rain checks to start flooding in around this time before any meet!! If you'll pardon the pun! Peoples intentions are good but unfortunately life just sometimes gets in the way. I hope for AB's sake that theres a good turnout as it looks like he's put in a lot of effort into organising it and to try and keep everyone happy. Enjoy the night folks...have one for me!
Good thread Jim Was in the gym this morning for about a 45 min workout. Hopefully will make it again tomorrow morning and then a walk tomorrow evening after work. Thats the plan anyway!
Havent changed my profile info as its basically the same as when I started...and dont dont even want to think how long ago that is?!! :) Pics are all up to date.
A beautiful 2nd floor view of the Royal Canal where the odd boat sails by on a beautiful summers day as well as a semi aerial view of the town...cathedral spire etc. Moving out soon though so better make the most of it over the next few weeks
Hi anniebaby. I'm gonna suggest The Wyatt Hotel is Westport! Have stayed there a few times and the staff are lovely and the food is top notch! Its a lovely hotel. Nothing new or modern about it now with no leisure facilities to boast but sure theres plenty of hotels close by offering them if necessary. Patrons do however have the use of some local leisure centre located closeby. Got a text the other day offering a RO rate of e40 for Feb 28th with the 29th thrown in for free! Now theres a deal and a half! Granted its mid week and not everyone can avail of deals like these at the drop of a hat but its an unbeatable deal all the same! I swear I'm not on commission to try and sell it to you!! Just from experience can highly recommend it!
Was listening to John Murray on radio 1 during the week and this was up for discussion. So guys...anyone got any nice tales to tell???
I have a few but theres 1 that stands out way ahead of the rest! Will try and keep it as brief as possible!
Back in 2003 myself and my friend had just landed in NYC. We were staying with my friends aunt and she dropped us down to a shopping mall for a little retail therapy! As green and naive as we were we said we'd get the bus back! Sure we hadnt a clue! Anyway...few hours later and its getting dark and we're loitering at the bus stop not having a notion in which direction we needed to go never mind what bus to get?! Asked a lady who was waiting by the bus stop if she knew which bus to get but she was just waiting for her husband to pick her up. Long story short this lady and her husband went completely out of their way and dropped us back right to the door! Not only that but it turns out that they were the owners of a famous pizzeria in NY called Grimaldis and the wife wrote us a $50 voucher to use in their restaurant by Brooklyn Bridge. To this day I still think of their random act of kindness and have told that story many times over the years...
