Round a week ago i asked if there would be any takers for a CS meet in the County Clare area, this was on the back of one of Pedro's threads...
I was advised by another site member to put a dedicated thread up to get an idea of the number of site members who might be interested, so, here it it...
Id be thinking of something on the clare / limerick border to facilitate easy access and proximity for overnight accomodation...
The date would be around 6 weeks hence assuming there are enough takers to justify the organizing and CS sign up screen...
Please give this thread a nod if your up for a night out....

Initial meet point Bunratty area, probibly Durty Nellys, but that really is subject to them being ok with a meet on there premesis, though if there selling alcahol, i cant see where there would be a problem...
As i recall, there was a really nice pub about 100 metres away which would also be suitable, im looking on google for it now and will get back soon as ive found it....

Its looking like Durty Nellys in Bunratty, County Clare, there are a couple of other pubs in the locale, so ill cold call all three and see if there up to the job...

Im thinking 14th July, that should give people (and me!) a chance to get themselves organised...

Id say just whatever it is for drinks these days, there should not be any kind of entry fee...

Durty Nellys is a great spot, food is okayish, The bunratty castle hotel is reasonable for rooms and hasusual restaurants and bars, lounge and there is another pub beside the hotel which also serves food, you always get loads of Yank tourists in the Bunratty theme park so plenty of GEE GUYs to take the piss out of,,

I'll be just back from Spain.... a bit 'browned' off, but still on my hols (kinda) so wouldn't mind ending the break with a hoolie!

WHEN: Saturday, August 4th, starting at 7pm
WHERE: Durty Nellys pub in Bunratty, County Clare...
The venue is virtually next door to Bunratty Castle (Bunratty Castle and Folk Park are well sign-posted on the N/M18 from Limerick and Ennis)
Journey time from Limerick West, approx 15 minutes...
Journey time from Ennis (Barefield Junction) 15 minutes.
The group will meet in the "Front Bar Areas", (there are 3 adjoining bars), but there will be plenty of space outside, weather permitting.
WHAT:...
This is a chance for CS members, old and new, to have a night out in one of County Clares most scenic yet lively nightspots.
The get-together, while primarily about meeting other Csers, will also afford the option to eat for benefit of those who come early.
This will be at "The Creamery Bar" across the road from Durty Nellys, with choices from light bar snacks to full sit down meals.

I have checked overnight accomodations for people coming from further outlying areas and the best deal by far is with the Limerick Travellodge, similarly to food info.

Hi Folks....
Im happy to be able tell you I have secured a deal with a Shannon based taxi company to get discount rate for CS party attendants...
Taxi fares to the Travelodge on the Ennis Road will be 15 euro a car, while agreed in principle, there may be a small and managable add on for passenger multiples...
The same firm also has a minibus capable of carrying 8 passengers, the cost of which is 23 euro as im informed...
On the night i will give stamped cab company business cards which will act as your proof of CS entitlement...
If any of you are interested in eating, there will be bar food and sit downs at the creamery bar across the road, cut off times for snack food and sit downs are 8.00pm and 9.30 respectively...
If your interested in eating please post to this thread, If you wanting a cab on the night please do likewise so a can get an idea of numbers and thus see your needs and wishes are well covered...
