RE: What do women want? I don't get mailed....

Other people will come here and ask the same question and be told their profiles are too short!

OP I found I had similar problems to you, which is why I took down my photos last week. I'm taking a break from the dating aspect of the site. I'll just post here every now and then if I decide not to delete my profile. I don't think there are many girls our age on the site. So any that are are either bombarded with emails or else are not interested for dozens of possible reasons!

RE: worst actor/actress

I know all about Steve Martin's career. But as you say, he has not made a good movie in a long time. That was my reasoning behind saying every movie he makes now damages his legacy. His early films and stand-up is not to my taste, but I can see why others like it. However, Cheaper By The Dozen and the likes are a stain on movies!

Cage really needs the perfect script to suit his style. That is not a sign of a top actor. Daniel Day Lewis is an example of an actor that can move beyond a ropey script (Gangs of New York etc) and give a great performance. Cage is not as good as his reputation suggests. If he were not from such a famous family, he would not have had the career he has had. But I have enjoyed far more of Cage's films that Steve Martin. But he really needs the right script.

RE: worst actor/actress

Same old routine since Sgt Bilko though. He ruins his image every time he makes something woeful like the Pink Panther movies. I just find him really irritating now!

RE: worst actor/actress

Two pretty woeful actors there! Steve Martin is just awful.

RE: worst actor/actress

That is due to focus-group driven production companies in Hollywood. A bankable star nearly always stays similar to their most famous role. That is why Robert De Niro is forever stuck playing basically the same character. Look further afield than Hollywood for originality!

My nomination for worst actor (ignoring the acting black holes that is Fair City and sticking to famous actors)is Charlton Heston. The definition of ham actor. Worst actress goes to Whoopi Goldberg. Lots of other potential candidates though!

Ben Affleck gets a hard time, unfair in my view. It just became popular during the Bennifer phase to say he was crap. He has been very good in some decent movies.

RE: HA ha

A little willy, one of the few times it is acceptable to say LOL laugh

RE: Come On Ye Rebels!

Saw the team going home from the Burlington earlier, a few sore looking heads.

The best team in the country so nobody can argue with them winning the All Ireland. A shame they did not win it last year instead, but they had much more know-how about their Croke Park performances this year. Plus as with all winning teams, the right lucky breaks happened for them too.

RE: HA ha

Agree with JLM big time here, I hate seeing sentences riddled with LOLs and hahas! It looks so childish and most of the time, nothing in any way funny has actually been said!

RE: Y.N.W.A!!

Those that can read can see me pointing out flaws in how United played today. I particularly noted the issues United have with an aging midfield and out of form defence.

If I were being zealous, I would be outright lying saying things like "Liverpool should not have had a penalty" etc. But that is obviously wrong, so I am describing it as it happened. My view on the game matches almost every legitimate pundit that I have heard or watched since the game. This includes Liverpool's manager and players.

You are ignoring other posters who are noting people like Dermot Gallagher agreeing with Webb's decision. Showing your ignorance, you say that he is just saying that to back his fellow referee. This is ignoring how Gallagher speaks almost every week on TV or radio and regularly points out bad decisions.

I am not trying to be personal about this, especially since we are after all talking about a game. But you calling me a muppet amongst many other insults is extremely annoying. You also seem to specialise in misrepresenting anything I actually write here.

RE: Y.N.W.A!!

I was discussing the positives and negatives of United's performance. It was in direct relation to my first paragraph where I mentioned United being lucky to regain the lead, but still deserving to win.

Do you have to nit-pick and completely misrepresent everything I say?

RE: Y.N.W.A!!

Interesting to see Chelsea against City and Arsenal in their next 2 games. Their first real tests of the season.

RE: Y.N.W.A!!

Thanks for putting words in my mouth and making illogical leaps based on a few posts. I don't like talking to people who assume everything about other people based on a few lines of text. I could have posted links to every match review on the net, I chose one. I am hardly saying that is law. I am taking it you were not on your school's debate team judging by your argument skills. United were obviously lucky to regain the lead. But they still deserved to win.

Evans and Evra were poor/average again. The defensve slips must be a worry for Fergie. Scholes faded in midfield in the second half. He controlled the game brilliantly in the first half but the pace got to him a bit in the second half. Same thing happened Giggs in the second half. Anderson might have come back at a good time from his and the team's perspective. Rooney out wide left might be a decent option in the next few weeks given his poor form and the Valencia injury shifting Nani to the right for the forseeable future.

But overall, they played well and are looking good from an attacking perspective. 3 more goals and there could have been more.

RE: Y.N.W.A!!

Get a grip with reality. I am hardly saying United were excellent. The defence was shocking. But you are talking pure guff. Roy Hodgson himself has said that Liverpool were second best for most of the game. If you don't believe me, how about this from BBC?

RE: Y.N.W.A!!

First of all, last man does not equal straight red card. Check the rule book, you are very much mistaken. It is a red card for denying a clear goalscoring opportunity. It looked much likelier that Van der Saar was getting to the ball first.

Secondly, I am not sure what you are basing your experience on. I doubt it is on actual match going United fans. The ones who applauded Ronaldo off the pitch after his hat-trick for Real Madrid. Or United fans who applauded Arsenal after they won the league at Old Trafford. Hearsay from your local area is not exactly proof of what United fans are like. Well not actual United fans from Manchester anyway.

Liverpool were not robbed by the referee. Not even Steven Gerrard is saying that. Liverpool were second best for at least 70% game, that is why they lost. Liverpool got back into the match through a stroke of luck with a penalty. Then Fletcher being unfairly pulled out of the wall left a gap for Gerrards free kick to sail in.

RE: Bigger is Better: dose size really matter for u girls?

Should they not call that a half-pounder???

RE: Tall,dark and handsome

I had a similar thread about this topic a while back. It went down as well as a Muslim at Koran Burning Party

RE: Tall,dark and handsome

Indeed...harsh words being said laugh

Now I'm off to find my 5'5, blonde, curly haired, blue-eyed, 34C, size 10 dream girl rolling on the floor laughing

RE: Well i never ...

Maybe he actually is a virgin. Not really our business if that is how he wants to live his life.

I doubt he wants all of us discussing it if he is telling the truth. I don't think a public discussion (one which the guy himself or any potentially interested women may see) is really needed about somebodies profile.

RE: Would like to welcome a good friend of mine to CS

Yikes the old man is drooling...quick somebody switch on Matlock laugh

Oh and hello brunettegirl wave

RE: Brian Cowen

I think the following could have a pretty decent chance of happening:

A tough budget (which there simply has to be) leads to the Government falling
FG and Labour lead a minority Government which stutters through disaster after disaster when people realise that Kenny and Gilmore are populist, rabble rousing muppets
FF with Lenihan as leader win the next election (or get enough seats to make a coalition, but you know what I mean by win!)

RE: Brian Cowen

I agree with all of this. People forget their own role in everything.

Plus if you actually look back and read the transcripts of Richard Bruton and Joan Burton's responses to each Budget and you get many phrases like "wasted opportunity" etc. Every party was playing the party political lines and none were saying that if they were in that they would be tighter with the budget.

The Six One news after each budget was full of people saying the Government did not spend enough. Similarly if you look at newspapers, the minority of experienced economists predicting a downturn were ignored in favour of goons like Brendan O'Connor and his campaign to get rid of stamp duty. That particular issue was the biggest one before the last General Election. The likes of the ESRI and American analysts were ignored when they referred to property crashes. The first prediction was actually in 2000. Not that anybody taking out 100% mortgages cared!

RE: Was the Taoiseach hungover this morning?

There is no other option but to have a hard budget. People are in dreamland if they think otherwise.

As for the interview, I'd say he was tired due to being up late at the Fianna Fail get together. Plus the sound quality of the phone he was on seems a bit dodgy. His PR people should never have let him on after being up so late.

RE: when's the next general election?

Showing off our brains to try and impress the ladies rolling on the floor laughing

RE: when's the next general election?

I have to disagree with that. As somebody from a poor background, I think the last 15-20 years of Government have been kind to people from poor backgrounds.

RE: when's the next general election?

I am very aware of that too and you have to allow for the nature of a message board preventing me from getting across everything I think about the North, Sinn Fein, Loyalists etc. We could all write 3000 word posts but I don't think everybody wants to read them laugh

RE: when's the next general election?

The 1960s were a different time. That was a fight worth getting involved in. But the Provisional IRA have long since ceased to be freedom fighters.

RE: when's the next general election?

Learning from the past is useful. I agree with that.

But repeating the same argument is not getting us anywhere. The FF-FG stuff is too entrenched in Civil War politics. The recent debate about Lenihan and Beal na Blath shows that.

RE: when's the next general election?

We have to move on from that though. Michael Collins has grown into a myth. Talking about him and Dev (as much I dislike De Valera) is not going to get us anywhere. We would get as much use out of fighting with the Normans.

RE: when's the next general election?

Very true. FF and FG fighting reminds me of the pointlessness of two bald men fighting over a comb.
