It can be very difficult for any guy to stand out when there are so many other guys here too. Very difficult to know what to say as different girls want different things in a first contact email. So the numbers game might mean that some guys are ignored due to a slightly underwhelming opener. That might be because of nerves if the girl is really pretty (like you!).
Girls might need to give more guys here a chance to show their personality. I see plenty of girls saying personality is the most important thing for them, so they need to let guys show their personalities! I think the numbers game is definitely in favour of girls here.
A girl making the first move is such a compliment. I'd be delighted if a girl made the first move really. Always nice on a night out (or anywhere for that matter) if a girl reverses the norm and approaches me.
So girls, go for it! You have nothing to lose! Like was just said above, worst case scenario is they say no. But much bigger chance a guy will say yes IMO
