I may make the pilgrimage to one of the meets somewhere else as my penance for not being able to go
Glendalough is pretty cool! It is not called the Garden of Ireland for nothing At some stage over the next week I'll be in Limerick, so I can compare it then!
Leinster final was their one shot at glory. I expected a fall out after that game like is happening. Just not used to playing at a high level regularly. Leinster was unusual this year with Dublin and Kildare going out early, so the other side of the draw opened up for the weaker teams.
Meath are a good bit better than Louth and have been for the last few years. Over the past few years they have been steadily improving. Meath scoring 5 goals against Dublin was above their usual level, but they are a decent team.
Kerry are always perennial favorites, nothing new there!
Dublin need to change their systems in the underage teams. Stop focusing on just big players. Pick a few footballers and build from there. They are all very samey at the minute other than Brogan, need a little touch of magic. That Cluxton is taking the odd free is a bad, bad sign.
I'd like to see Meath get to final. Football needs a strong Meath. Nice for Cork to win the All Ireland too, they deserve one.
It is why I took up athletics...gotta be able to run fast
As for North and South Korea, it reminds me of the North. A situation was set up that was always going to lead to conflict down the line. Difficult to know what USA should have done at the time, but ghettoizing NK from the world is not a good idea.
There is no point saying that if Liverpool had won more games they would have won the league. I could say that if United had won more games they would have won it by more points. United always held the upper hand.
You are right about last season. Lowest I expect them this season is 5th. Spurs are no great shakes, they just got 4th by default as nobody else was good enough. City have spent far too much money on too many average players. If (and it is a big if) Torres stays and is fit, Liverpool will be fine. I see United and Chelsea being the top 2 again.
The race for 4th is between Pool, City and Arsenal. The Fabregas situation might destabilize Arsenal, like in Henry's last season there. Villa have an outside chance, especially if they get 30 million+ for Milner and maybe Steven Ireland as part of the deal.
Keenan is a midfielder, what does he have to do with Brogan? It is not soccer where a midfielder can control the game like Xavi would. Brogan can only be stifled by whoever is marking him.
Once Alonso left, all title hopes went with him. Liverpool were very much playing above their ability that season. That United were chasing an 18th title probably played a part in that.
And United were pretty much well clear for most of the run in. The anomaly of the 4-1 game was what brought the race back to life.
