Poor Ron Jeremy suffers from a classic business problem...great product but shoddy marketing. Which is rather ironic given his great product is his package
The Snail Bar that I mentioned earlier is normally OK for getting a seat in. It depends really on what you are looking for on a night out...I take it a sitting down, chat oriented night is your main priority? Maybe Hogans or Whelans?
Bojangles is downstairs from Dicey's, Krystle is next door.
Have any of the pro-Dicey's people been there recently? It is very, very different from 2-3 years ago. Most nights now are promotional nights (€2 drinks etc) so it is EXTREMELY busy and the music is not as loud as in any other nightclub. It is uncomfortably full most nights. If you have access to the balcony, it can be a good night, otherwise be prepared for a lot of standing, a lot of bumping into people and a long time waiting to get served!
Have you tried the no-name/Snail Bar that is just off Dawson Street? It gets a decent crowd and is not full of the same crowd as Cafe en Seine and the likes.
NV on Leeson St (used to be called Rios) has a pretty big smoking area too if you are into that kind of thing! I was there a few weeks ago and it has a mixture of people at it, office workers, students etc. The inside of it was not fantastic though! World's smallest dancefloor!
Although being a student...I usually find myself in D2, Coppers or Diceys
Well my last post that was not a correction...but you got what I mean! The bus is normally around 6e one way, 10 or 11 return. If you are going by car it is pretty quick too. Down the n11 and turn off at Kilmacanogue. It is about 20 minutes from the turn off.
OK I am not sure if I am free to go to anything in Wicklow, but since I am from there I can say....
There buses every day to Glendalough from Dublin City centre (not the tour buses either!). They run at decent times. If people wanted to go out for the night, Laragh is 5 minutes from Glendalough and it has a nice a pub and a restaurant with a bar. Depending on numbers, it would be too difficult for the pople going to get a taxi/minbus into Wicklow Town either.
Accommodation should not be a problem as there is a hotel in Glendalough and plenty of other places nearby in Laragh, Roundwood etc. It is one of the busiest tourist areas in the country so there are plenty of hotels, B&Bs etc in the vicinity. Then Rathdrum is 20 minutes away by car, more B&Bs, train station is there too along with Avondale Forest Park and whatnot. Anybody that has to come by train could get off at Rathdrum and head to Glendalough. Rathdrum is only 3 stops after Greystones and about and hour and ten minutes from Connolly Station.
Plus a picnic in Glendalough is so much nicer than being in Dublin!
That may or may not help anybody thinking of going to the picnic!
I have my last ever exam on Friday 21st...odds are I'll be passed out drunk in a ditch somewhere on the weekend of the 24th. Maybe I'll luckily be passed out in Glendalough having not made it all the home
I once tried this guys approach in the library in UCD. It was in the run up to exams last year so everybody was there in the same seats most days studying. This blonde girl was sitting across from me and she was ridiculously cute, butterflies in the tummy cute.
So the last day studying before my final exam I decided to chance my arm and left a note saying that I thought she was really pretty and had made studying a little easier. I then left a number and said text me....never heard from her though
There are a few message boards that are ridiculously strict about staying on topic...I think he might be referring to such places. Here is like my little oasis of off-topicness. It feels like being back in school and the real teacher being out sick and having a cool substitute teacher let us go mad
The Bayern Munich and Inter players had longer seasons too. The winter break is over emphasized. Pretty often the top teams play friendlies over Xmas anyway. Plus English clubs can get breaks by default at other points in the season due to going out in the FA Cup and other similar things.
The stats show that the likes of Muller and Lahm played more games than the English.
Hello Lauren! Yeah I think it can be a wasted opportunity. I know that I would feel I'd have more chance of impressing somebody in conversation or by being funny than I do with my profile. I'm not entirely sure if my profile gets across my personality, whereas posting here can a little bit better.
But I wonder if non-posting CS people look at our posts and make judgments? Sometimes what seems funny to people posting regularly here, might seem less funny to outsiders!
IFA could also be our Nordy brothers On a similar note, the IFA actually play a major role in the making of the rules of football. Last time out the IFA and the Welsh association voted against any technology coming into football.
FYI the Four Home Associations(England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland) and FIFA are the bodies responsible for the rules of football.
But I can see where tall girls that think that are coming from. I know I and JP made a few points here about it narrowing possibilities, but sure I am narrowing my possibilities with my personal tastes too. And I probably can't afford to narrow my tastes
RE: if you could pick a character from a film?
Batman...why so serious?I should have picked Heath Ledger's Joker...I think purple is my colour
