yeah I figured rest would be one of the solutions, hmm there go's mondays trip to the gym then :(
I was using deep heat as thought that might help, does ice really work?

the makers of deep heat also make a product called deep freeze, its very good, my son uses it all the time

Aye, its pretty much the muscel from the upper thigh right up to the hip, although I am no doctor, best thing i can do is take it easy, rest it and contact a physio if its troubling me next week ^^

just be careful where abouts you put it
ice is usually only used for the first few hours after the strain and when you return training for the first few days, becareful not to use ice all the time tho.

Bags of frozen peas for 15 min, followed by hot towel (damp it lightly then microwave for 3 mins) till it cools...
