No life surely ... don't beginn at forty..... if you are at the beginning .. still you have a chance to make it good..... but later - you can only look for an ending.... try and make it as comfortable as you can..... if you don't go outside - and try something - not-so-common....
When I was 48, I changed my career completely and took a job that has me living in one country after another, experiencing different cultures and meeting people from all walks of life. At 49, I spent some time in Iraq; at 50, I landed on an aircraft carrier (tailhook landing, catapulted back up again later). At 52, I was working in Afghanistan. During these years, I saw the Great Wall of China, beautiful Greek islands, the DMZ in Korea, and a number of other fascinating places throughout the world. I've met very well-known people, worked on a range of issues from military conflicts to the kidnapping of a shipowner to human rights issues and more. I could go on, but I won't....my point is just that, for me, life didn't necessarily BEGIN at 40, but it sure did pick up and I've had more adventures and fun in these years than I can mention. Too bothered to be young again?? Hell, I'm too busy to be old!
Onlyguy: Not in my case, I wish I would have known much younger what I knew at 40 but my life sure didn't begin at 40.
Too true, as long as it does'nt finish at 40, or even 50, 60. 70, pt 80!! (my grandad is 82 & plays the electric organ to keep nimble, along with bowls ), I do not want to think what my step-granny does for him!!

Well as long as she dont play the bagpipes.....hes safe..
ebony4you: So they say..well am anxious to hit the 40 just two more years to go..in the meantime I will enjoy the 30's damn life!.. tries to adjust a clock
lmao mistake...three more years to go...some comfort
every day is the fist day of the rest of my life, i enjoyed them all, got bruised a few times but always bounce back like a teenager, had sad times and glad times but i am still here and wouldn't change life for the way i lived it. 20, 30, 40 , 50, 60, and now waiting on 70 it can begin any time if you get the right one jmho
