Most of us are too stubborn to walk away from the game of youth, until we are thrown out. Its a shame wasting time fightinng the inevitable, but most of us can't help losing alot of time by being stubborn. I regret the , years I wasted, one of my biggest regret is not having the courage to walk away when my family arranged a marriage for me at sixteen, but what else could I have done then. I didnt know what to do . Now I see the whole panorama much more clearly, and I have reached a conclusion. I did alot of stupid things before I reached forty, but I dont regret them nearly as much as I used to because I now believe that most of the dumb I did before I turn forty are unavoidable. But the dumb things people do after they turn forty are very avoidable.
Something very big changed inside me . I didnt have one thought about what its going to be like when I become that "old". If somone had said to me "one day you'll be as old as my grandmother", I would have said so what, because I see her as an individual, not as example of age.
Turning forty came with a whole new perspective on life for me, I feel young and alive. The best I have ever felt in my whole life. I am healthy, strong and ready to face all that the next half of my life has in store for me . I am ready . The party is not over, it has just started !!!

My forties have been very different from my younger years, but the best. Radical changes, new country, new job, but I´m not so sure of the rapidly approaching fifties.
