Just came across this thread and had to add my little bit, as am a fully paid up member to the "red and proud" club. Did not realise that girls got teased as much as the lads. I think these people can be described as shallow and ignorant for the most part.
I was at a wedding recently when the "best-man" started his speech by slagging his brother over his gingerness, only to be met with mostly silence and a few embarresed laughs, he then continued on to
out do David Brent with the most cringeworthy speech I have ever heard, completely offending the brides family and most of the wedding guests. Was kinda fun watching him squirm as he realised he was dying on his feet though. Heard his brother gave him a punch in the residence bar later that night.
