we deserve a system of knowing! before they even get to the ballot paper...let alone in power!...ya think?

so how bout they all go to colege then.. and just like say american football.. the best recruits get drafted to the parties that are normally in power? fed up of seeing really good politicians in parties of non power with no workable numbers..i know it`ll never happen where we could mix and match between the parties to get the best poss line up!

we have docs that do 7 yrs hard graft in college on top of 4 in-termships and some..
other professions are the same colege wise law..etc..
important jobs with peeps lives both in there hands.. but yet!!
any gob/s.. can with a rich family or name or gaa group or cronnies behind him/her get a nomination and potentially end up telling us what we take home or what we give...?
my thinking..(call it thick??) these so called leaders should have to get a degree atleast, can only hold a ministerial in there degree field... or am i just dreaming??

i agree totally... been like that for yrs..does it matter?
what with the whole banks debacle and recession, we had a perfect excuse to get out of euro and de-value punt and get back on track... re-align with the us dollar thru nuetral swiss frank... but oh no!! we`ll tow the euro line... and when greece collapses...and it will... spain and portugal follows... and euro will be no more!!
we could have been 5 months ahead of the rest of europe..jmo
