I don't know if I'd regard people who report things on these forums as brave - more interfering, over-sensitive, intolerant, control freaks. I'd think it just as easy to let a thread run out of steam by not posting if you were offended. If others are interested in continuing their "fighting" then why not leave them to it, as it's only computer nonsense that can be ignored or blocked, so why make it a big deal?

Perhaps some of us think the atmosphere on the site is important and that we should all share it. Or am I just an idealist?

Fair points about being friendly and supportive. But humour, tolerance and taking the one-down position regarding certain posters or subjects would achieve what you talk of IMO, as without fuel a fire goes out. Hence, if the people who want to bicker and snipe or cause trouble as you say, are left alone or not responded to, the thread or subject just disappears anyway without the child-like reliance on Mods or whoever it is that decides what is appropriate to be talked about or said, having to get involved.

an abosulutely idealist....if the world is full of good person then no need for our country set police station or other departments....if no bad person here in CS then CS would not set this function for people to report to them about those dirty threads!

i have been here a few years it has gotten worse as time has passed it's like a contest to see who can get the most shock value lol. i don't see very many threads that would go along the lines of getting to know anyone . but i have never reported anything or anyone they have the right to say what they like and i have the ability to ignore it .

You're right about escaping... I did it for a long time. This place was fab to come and escape from the real world but its in just as much turmoil as the real world now

Hopefully its just a phase..............luckily I have met some great people including the one you mentioned above- and actually much to my surprise I have met someone special from here its only in its infancy but maybe................

And I often noticed that these dirt threads often be cancelled in time...I don't think they can be canceled automatically by CS without reporting from some kindhearted person...
So now I want to know who are the kind justice people who contribute so much to keep the forum clean...I admire their righteouness, their goodness, their warm hearted.....
If it is you...I beg you spend a few minutes to send me email to tell me...If it is not you but you know who did that...pls tell me also with your email here. Be sure don't tell me here in the forums...it's not safe...hehe
