Yes, there are what we would deem "miserable people" out there but being happy all the day long is not a criteria for being a citizen of Planet Earth.
Besides, as much as we would, in an ideal world, like everyone to be jolly and blithe, skipping throught the tulips with a big cheesey grin on all our faces, just think realistically how tiresome that may become...? The differences in mood make it all the more enjoyable when there IS happiness, laughter, joy.... surely?
There may be mitigating circumstances, beyond our awareness, knowledge or comprehension even and some are having a totally crap time of it.
Those, though, that clearly seek just to treat others with disdain and malevolence indeed do need to resolve the issues they may have.
Some may not even be aware that they have issues but then there are those who do and just don't care. I have never held with the "I don't care" attitude. It really doesn't sit well with me. I believe its the basis for many of the world's evils....
I don't lack compassion. What I do have a problem with is those who simply don't even try.....
