somechickCincinnati, Ohio USA106 Threads 11,116 PostsI'm trying to figure out ways that I can comfort my neighbor guy who's also become my best friend.He was there for me when I lost my late husband and today he found out that his ex wife passed away today.They were only married a short time and had their normal ups and downs just like anyone else does and but I could tell by how upset he was when he was told the sad news about her.It just breaks my heart to my best friend hurting.

if you know what kind of activities he likes,you can offer when he has time,specially sunday evening when moment are potentially gloomy.
what i did myself when a very closed highschool friend of mine lost his mother,was checking him all the time to make sure he is not alone.

The situation goes beyond my experience but I'd be willing to bet just knowing there is someone close by who feels or has felt the same way will comfort you friend. Let him know you understand. As a woman, god has given you the power of intuition. Tap into that part of yourself and maybe you'll know what to do. I hope John see's this thread. I bet he can help.

The comfort of a beautiful friend, even to to stay silent, is ok.
I'm sorry to hear of his loss, many shall mourn, watch for their smile! (They are the ones that remember)
