I live on the south coast but know your area very well. Vernonia & Mist are wonderful. Have you been to Timber? How about Elsie, Hamlet? Take 30 to Astoria and cross over to Seaview, Long Beach & Ilwacco. Outasight. Marshe's Museum & Gifts is well worth time spent. (some people spend an entire afternoon there). The beach, too, is one of the best--and not at all crowded. Just a few ideas. You will like Vernonia--I always thought of it as being "Brigadoon"--timeless, changeless. It's a real gem of a town. Quaint. Nice to see you--It would be fun to say hi.

I grew up in Portland spent a little time exploring some areas like Long Beach, I know of Vernonia but have never stopped to see the town. Never heard of Timber. I so glad summer is coming, there is going to be so much to see and do before I start school in the fall. I feel like a high school kid planning the summer of fun LOL.
I choose Clatskanie to live because it was so close to all the places I like to visit, Portland for the things a big city offers, the beach for how it soothes my soul and the mountian for how it renews my spirit. Truly the Pacific Northwest has it all
I am so lucky to live on the Columbia River and have room for privacy
Today I spent some time exploring Astoria. I watched the surf pound the beach at Fort Stevens, visited a few stores and had a very very good time!
