I agree. I think the next match in particular is crucial. Sunderland are safe so they have nothing really to play for but i think Bruce always likes to try and get one over on his former boss, Fergie. I think on one hand Liverpool will want to finish stronger even if they don't finish fourth but a part of me will wonder if they will work too hard against Chelsea just so United don't beat their record. I think Chelsea will beat Wigan on the last day of the season and United will beat Stoke so the next match could be the decider.

chelsea have to lose or a draw will do just fine, but man united have to win there next 2 games so hopfully sunderland and stoke will be an easy game for them

erm ya they did play, man utd lost 1 - 0 to leeds
My nightmare scenario would be for us (Liverpool) to beat Chelsea (which I am convinced we will, hand United the title and still miss out on 4th. The fact that Man City and Spurs have to play each other, gives us a realistic chance of 4th now, which means we will have to go all out against Chelsea. But watching Man U win 4 in a row would sicken me.

I don't think it will really be a factor on the day, Liverpool will always want to win the big games at Anfield. It might piss people off if it inadvertently gives United the league, but I don't think there is a question of Liverpool laying down and dying. It's much the same as last year when ye got the 4-4 with us at Anfield which went a long way to killing off our title challenge. Arsenal fans admitted they'd rather Liverpool win the league than United, but obviously Arsenal were still trying to win.

i think liverpool could give us a run for our money but nobody really really wants to see utd win the league again
