After 16 years you did deserve more. But I also say the only regret you now have is that he walked on you. You don't have to regret all those horrible things you may have said to each other in the heat of a break up. He does't have to regret the memories of seeing the other's broken heart and shattered dreams and have them haunt his subconscious forever more.
Sorry Trina, but in another reality it could of been much worse. You feel cheated but picture that confrontation the way you would of liked it to gone and then picture it in its worst possible scenario. And hopefully that will help ease the feeling of being cheated of calling him a #@$^% and whatever else to his face.
