any one have any veiws on this phenomenaconfused it seems to be mostly an American Idea although I beleive that there are parents in UK who also embrace this form of parenting.....for thos of you who are not familiar with the term....it seems to be 24 hour parenting of the child and also long term breast feeding (some as old as 8 possibly older) in some cases banning the use of baby carriages/pushchairs/prams and also in a few cases banning the use of diapers. yes thats right one child in a recent documentary was seen 'fouling' himselve on the floor of the hallway,,, a nice greeting for visitorsjaw drop I must admit this documentary was the first instance of my hearing about Attatchment Parenting.

I breast feed mt youngest till he went to school, which means he was 4 months shy of 4yrs old,he nursed just before going to bed,and or when he was feeling insecure or frieghtened by one thing or another, was it too long, too most yes,is he any the worn for it,not a bit, crazy of me,maybe, but I have never claimed to be sane. However was not the case for the 2 eldest, the eldest till he was 6months,I was pregnet when he was 3 months so my milk slowly vanished, and the middle one until he was a year or so.My boys are now 21,20 and soon to be 16,ALL healthy mature men who are very much apart of the norm. So,this is my story...laugh

I agree! There's no reason to stop, until the child is ready, or the mother is. Society does not rule my house...I'm sorry if you don't like it!
