TrueBlue1986: Emotions run high during riots, protests and marches, something the armchair pundits don't seem to realise.

Alot of bad things happened in the 70's within a bad atmosphere. I'm not going to set out to criminalise the British army, not when I have friends getting shot at everyday.

Just how many riots have you seen up close and personal? We are talking about what is meant to be the best trained army in the world....From what I've seen from the armchair of my front room in Belfast....I'd question that.

Your frinds are geeting shot where....on ther streets of Belfast or another mess your Gov got itself into???

Iraq for Oil and Afghan for over 1 trillon dollars worth of minerals..(let face it the 9/11 attacks where planned in Saudi/Yemen....)

Grew up in Enniskillen, lived in Belfast in the late 70s and moved to London in the early 80s. English people are fine people but can't seem to accept the fact that people in other countries don't want their army in their countries.
Bloody Sunday changed everything in the statelet of N.I.. How would English people react to a French, German or Russian army on their streets shooting peaceful English demonstrators? I wish they could at least try to walk in another man's shoes but alas I fear that they can't.
History books in the UK should be re-written to stop this superiority nonsense that they are taught in schools.
