While uncle Bob was working with judge carlos looking after his animals, he had one cow for himself. One day his cow got into a fight with one of the judge's cow and using his long horns, gored the Judge's cow in the side so hard that he died. Uncle bob went to the judge and said "sir, my cow and one of your cows got into a fight today and your cow has gored mine to death" the judge said "sorry, nothing i can do about that. I have been through the book of laws and have seen nothing concerning animal fights, so if my cow kill yours you just have to grin and bear it" at that uncle Bob said, "your cow? no sir you misunderstood it was my cow that killed yours" the Judge said, "pass me that book" It's just the biasness and the lack of openmindedness that i'm trying to point out here. if you didn't understand the bible and someone is trying to explain it why get so sharp?
Sampe1967: And you don't see that it's an example of what we preach, we are full of sin and unless you surrender your life in totality to God and allow him to transform you, you will never be right.
this is EXACTLY what i was alluding too. the last sentence is quite absurd
why is he more RIGHT than us...... beware of false gods
I debated two Bible scholars a few years ago, took them apart with the very book they proclaim to be truth. pointed out only 50 lies in the bible and one cried uncle. Took the other-one apart on genesis and evolution by starting with equus caballus. He was declared the looser by a panel of judges who were 70% theist...
I'm sorry, but does this scripture not apply equally as well to christians as it does to atheists?
I mean, it's pretty easy to say that atheists should consider this scripture (as if an atheist cares about a scripture), but, what if that 'lie', isn't just disbelief?
What if organized religion is the lie? What if Catholicism is the lie? What if the bible is the lie, and it is a tool used by God to determine who seriously considers what he wants, what his actions mean, and who just reads the book and listens to the church?
Have you ever considered that, perhaps, the Bible is a tool of God, but not in the way you think it is? What if God's message is not to follow the herd, not to listen to those who would call themselves 'Father', and to discern things not just from a message, but from the natural order of everything that exists?
I mean, I'm not sayin' whats what, I'm just sayin' hey, how do you really know what is and what isn't?

What if you are not reaLLy where yu think you are right now but was hooked up to some machine that controls what you think and you actually thinks you are a man when in fact you are a god or a fish or even part of the machine itself, have you ever thought of that? "Je pense donc je suis", of course. Better known as 'Cogito, ergo sum', and most will have it modernly, 'I think, therefore I am'.
We can only know the greatest reality which we are capable of discerning. It doesn't not mean that that reality is the actual, absolute truth, it simply means that it is the most appropriate place to lay your confidence, or base your forward thought, until a greater understanding can be had.
And, to answer your question- I have thought of it, and maybe I am just a dream, and maybe I am just a vegetable hooked up to a machine, but, until I can discern as such, well, you know, cogito, ergo sum.

My chest hurts for lack of air and i am having a hard time keeping my lips from spreading. It is called laughter, and i am dying from it even now
