Isnt this what the churches have been doing since their inception? Deceive the masses to keep the status quo

Isnt possible to say this is exactly what priests are doing when they heal with their hands? Working miracles? Or what about saints? Isnt it a requirement they perform a miracle?

Why was Paul a better man than any of us? Did he have some ability that is not available now? Or, assuming he actually existed was he just A man. Are you saying that anybody who claims to have spoken to God or Jesus is a better man than us? Is he better than holy men from any other faith? Is he better than, say Pope Urban II who after 'speaking to God' declared the first Crusade which ended in the slaughter of Jerusalem. So please explain to me why Paul is a better man than any of us.

I have (indeed I've read all of the bible), and actually keep a number of Bibles and a Strong's concordance handy. I don't claim to know everything about the holey babble, but I know just enough to annoy most christians. Many (NOT ALL; I've spoken to some quite friendly and civil christians who do humankind a good service in general) seem to hate nothing more than being whacked with their OWN holy text.
