sammy was a much better musician but david was and still is the ultimate showman.its all about the guitars though lol

Still though Dave became a major part of the band. The brothers were obviously key (hence the name!) but a singer is crucial to the image of any band

I'm inclined to agree. As much as I admire the guitarist - Dave Lee Roth really came into his own as a solo artist with Steve Vai on guitar.
Although 'Jump' and 'Panama' are classics...
I've always preferred 'Tobacco Road' and 'Skyscraper'... JMO.
