Axl has to get 2-3 people to replace Slash in the new GnR. Slash does not do solos for the sake of solos. A lot of guitarists have self-indulgent solos, Slash knows how to create great songs.

I already am aware of the differences but I just prefer Slash. Malmsteem and lots of others are not what I like. I see that style as a bit self-indulgent.

i know what ya mean but in terms of skill level slash just cant compete with the shred guys.slash has a great feel for the instrument
