invinciblemuse: Quick question: Is 8 days too long for a first date??
Would those, who've travelled long distances to get to a date care to share their blissful horror stories?
i don't see why it would be,if you have chatted a while, got to know them, just make sure to take your own car so you can make a fast get a way if need be...
invinciblemuse: Was it a first date?? How does the story end???
It was a first date. The story ends that we are friends..kinda..sorta..at least I thought we were..anyways,the distance would never have made it out to be more than what it was. Doesn't mean it won't work for you or anyone else..just our choice.

Cool, that's encouraging, no horror story from you. Thank you!

Getaway car - brilliant idea. Mine will be parked right outside my house...

hmm afer meeting guys close to home and doing the bolt after an hour, and thinking when Im gone PHEWWW
I feel thats the one thing that would worry me a little if someone travelled from over seas to meet... I mean no amount of chatting or talking on the phone really prepares you for face to face...its a whole new kettle of fish you ONLY know once you face to face if its THERE or not.
So travelling long distance... hmm what IF there is no chemistry on either side, HOW akward OMG
And being stuck or obliged to spend time with them might prove a nightmare.
