coshure96: JMO but there seems to be a lot of "mob mentality" theses days.... i guess in some ways it's good that people are finally starting to get around to trying to make their voice heard, but in other ways, it's a bit scary that a mob will just find any excuse to round up someone and lynch them..

People cant think for themselves, They follow the crowd, sad really

exactly... the same could be said for religion as well... some people find it easy to just follow suit because it "feels" like the right thing to do..

Heres what happened later on that day..

Yeah what excuse could she possibly have for doing it..its like wasn't there an old fella caught scraping keys along the sides of cars for no reason..maybe she just angry at society maybe not animal cruelty at all but rather a desire to inflict pain on the owners of the cat who knows..maybe she will say in days to come..

7sins: The reaction to Mary Blane and her cat storge malfunction. Granted it's wrong and it's animal cruelty but you'd hear less about other more serious cases of animal cruelty.

Is the internet community going too far, with death threat websites etc? Has anyone here signed up to a FB page against her? What does that achieve? Is there such a thing as too much freedom? as in freedom of speech? Should mobs & morons that otherwise wouldn't have a voice be heard through this format?

Does anyone give a crap?

Did anyone LOL when they saw it 1st?

I don't believe revenge groups are the way to go - but I'd certainly support & attend a public humiliation of her. She deserves to spend the same amount of time in a bin aswell.

I didn't 'lol' at the original event - but I DID certainly LOL alot at this so have to share this with all.

I was referring to your comment about a public humiliation, don't you know that public humiliation went out with the middle-ages?

Ah right. Well, in some states in the US they are bringing it back in ways. Example, with teenagers caught shoplifting from stores are 'sentenced' with having to stand outside the shop they stole from with a sandwhich board around them stating 'I stole from this store' - So I think putting her in a wheelie bin would fit in along with that perfectly. I think its very suitable cases for things like this where prison may be a bit too harsh and you certainly wouldn't want her doing community service for an animal shelter - so to name and shame her and have her spend the same amount of time in a wheelie bin on a main street would be ideal I think.

And her lesson from that?? Not much really - that you can do whatever you want and just pay a small amount of money for the privledge. A public shaming I think would be a mnuch better deterrant to keep her and others from similar acts. JMO however.

I don't think its really that bad. Guess the statement of 'if you can't do the time don't do the crime' simply applies. So, keep yourself from putting animals in wheelie bins and we'll get on just grand so handshake

That CCTV footage of the woman putting the cat
in the bin is horrible, can't believe anyone could be so cruel. Then
again, I showed it to the Dog and he absolutely pissed himself laughing.
