What do people think, apparently it is now becoming quite common for people in the late to early 30's to have moved back home with their parents.
The reason why I'm bringing up this thread is because a friend of mine who is 32 and had to take a 25% pay cut has moved back home withy his parents. He has a mortgage but has now rented the house out.
Its fine when they someone is in college or has lost their job and they have to move back home, I'm referring to people who are in the late 20's-early 30's who have never moved out of the family home and are working full time.

That's not what it says in your original post ... you are specifically referring to a friend is moving home ......

Sorry I should have referred to people who have always lived at home with their parents, also please ignore the other thread that I set up as I thought it hadn't gone through.

Joking by the way, it's a bit sick and twisted....
I dont really get this what does it matter to you or anyone else if someone is living at home ...theres a million and one reasons why they are still at home

As I stated already its okay to live at home under the following circumstances.
1) if the adult is in college. 2) if they have lost their job or have had to take a large paycut. 3) If someome has a physical disability.
On the other hand I think its strange that someone is still living at home at 30 and they can well afford to move out and rent, wouldn't you agree?

I agree. To the OP, with all due respect, what does it have to do with you if your friend is living at home?
Acceptable for what?
Everyone's circumstances are different and i wouldn't judge them because of that.

I think you should move to some kind of totalitarian state!
Orla2010: My point being you seem to like making up rules and regulations
I don't actually, I'm quite libertarian actually
In Italy there was a proposal a few months ago by the Italian government to legally comel people when they reach 18 to move out of their parents house, I think it got ditched in the end and rightly so, it was a ridicoulous idea.
