Did you mean herstorically, or hysterically.

If hysterically, hyster means womb, so that little trait has already been attributed to us. I think it was one of Freud's gems.

I'm a great believer in equality, but its something that men should have as well as women.

I do think you will get "homeostatic" swings, however, before equilibrium is found. In talking about herstory, I was merely making a point by reflection.
