PRACTICAL60ADELAIDE, South Australia Australia16 Threads 104 Postswell i thought i would read some of the threads on the international forums, well i see a thread on please be aware of this girl, i must say it is a disgraceful set of posts ,and could not believe how many pages it had gone on, and how people were reacting to it, and the sad part of all this 2 Australian males were the worst offenders and my question is why do the moderators take so long to act as people had said they had reported it, yet it continued on. why is it that as humans we can not just stop and think about what we say , do or write , i find it a little sad.
Prractical. It is sad. But we do it everyday at some level with varying depths of intent. If we listen to the variuos break up Stories. Many of us did it to our partners on regular basis's.
We have something to say and open our mouths because we feel its important, or because we feel its our right to impart this information.
Very few of us stop to think about repercussions, And in the heat of discussion even less of us consider how hurtful our words may actually be.
I really believe English taught in schools should be taken in a different direction. Or preferrably a second English Subject added to the curriculum. That Specifically targets Communication in all variations, and all levels. Meaning Arguing,Debating,Talking,Romancing,Conveying info in a Work enviro,Teaching to another person,Talking to the uneducated, Or a Foriegner. Written,Verbal,Body Language.
Its ugly I agree Practical. But alas I am all to often involved amongst it myself. So I can't go putting on aires.
I read a bit of the last few pages.... absolutely DISGUSTING!!!
I did look at his profile.... and he calls himself a 'nice guy'
.. yeah.. I have no idea why self proclaimed 'nice guys' cant get dates.
I guess that here the mods are volunteers as its a free site, which explains why it can take a bit longer to get action on some things. In all I think that they do a tremendous job, we all have to agree that this is a great site, and has fantastic forums, with little or no down time. My experience has been that complaints are acted upon within 12 hours - threads closed, people shut down.
As an Aussie, its embarassing, and shocking that one of our own would behave and speak in such a hideous manner about children

NO DD dont ever put yourself in the same place as that individual. We've had our spats in here, but no one has ever stooped to such a level of filth as that individual

yep this thread in question, has been flushed down the cyber toilet.. and the poster in question has been popped off too.
Well I missed it as I haven't ventured into the internationals for ages but.....
I know moderators are volunteers but this site is way huge now so maybe a couple more moderators should be chosen. I don't even know the statistics of the site but given that it's an international site, they should have moderators from a few different countries then there is atleast someone on at all times.
