Where is the centre of Ireland?? (41)

I know all these Dublin, Cork, Galway, Wexford, Westport meets are great for people in the area but they all alienate a lot of people at the opposite end/side of the country. Should we try for somewhere like athlone...middle of the country. Or Portlaoise? As an all-ireland meet rather than a regional thing?? Suggestions welcomed...And yes if the numbers stacked up I'd organise..sigh

Well they say athlone is the heart of ireland ...Sky what about Tullamore ..thats a good spot everything close togethercool cool

So where is best as a central location. Somewhere thats on the motorway network would be best I think... dunno

Athlone is pretty centre, could be a good spot. dunno

Think geographically Athlone is the dead centre of Ireland but theres plenty to do around Mullingar!

Maybe a poll on places to go near the motorway so all can access..or with a trainstation for the non drivers confused
