I wonder why they cannot find
the so-called terror mastermind
They seem to know just where he's bin
They foiled his schemes time and again
In his pursuit, they over-ran
the sovereign state of Pakistan
But still Osama can't be found
As though he's living underground
I see no reason to persist
Al Qaeda never did exist
It's just a US machination
to justify the occupation
Of course there are some hired insurgents
the need for such is very urgent
how else could war be justified
if no bombs fell and no one died
They have to kill at least a few
Americans, and locals too
to keep the public blood a-boil
so they can seize Prince Caspian's oil
But think back now observe and learn
What happened when twas Russia's turn
The war broke their economy
The US helped their enemy
Now think of China, Russia too
What do you think they plan to do
Will they just sit there idly by
and find themselves left high and dry
As US forces seize control
Of Central Asia's vast petrol
I think its clear they just intend
to let the US force expend
until the dollar falls from sight
and they could cause that overnight
For now, they are content to let
Each passing day increase our debt
Just as occurred in Russia's case
The US now will have to face
a rude and bitter wakening
from decades of mistakening
In which they judged themselves so strong
they thought their rule would last so long
that in their pride they thought that they
could break the rules of buy and pay
but parties end and new days dawn
with "for sale" signs out on the lawn
the credit cards get cut in two
and banks decide what one must do

cute_yashar: they were doing it before sanctions on iraq
iraq was third most export country in the world

the difference now is that you pay them as workers and steal the oil
but before the war and before sanctions ( for un_existed mess weapons that you claimed and did't find any)
before the sanctions and war worker were working for iraq not for you
the oil was for themselves not stolen by AMERICA

I can't believe I'm writing this, but for once...I agree with every word Ray.

At least some of us aren't asleep and don't know what the hell is going on. We may not be able to do anything about what's going on, but at lease some of us are NOT duped.sigh

BellaTheRebel48: Ray, that's another thing we agree on!

If people think we're headed for better days, then they really ARE delusional!

Yes, delusion is popular, because it is so much "rosier" than objective rational analysis of the situation.

Take your soma people. A gram is better than a "damn".

gardenhackle: Speaking of delusion... US over-running Pakistan? Russia, too?

there are some hired insurgents.... ( I can see the want-ad now... military targets needed. $20.00 an hour. No experience necessary. Benefits include getting blown to kingdom come ).

That's not how they do it.

They send in the CIA to form a mercenary group.
They even tell them that the US is going to help them take power.

Then once the group is armed and trained, they just keep them as a mercenary army for the sake of manipulating the political situation.

Here's an example.
US national security advisor (at the time) Zbigniew Brzezinski personally arranged for the US to give money weapons and training to Osama Bin Ladin and to the Taliban.

Both Bin Ladin and the Taliban were in the US employ during the entire Afghan war to drive out the Russians. After that, they were still on the payroll and under CIA control and their job was to create the myths of "Islamic terror" and "Bin Ladin the terrorist mastermind".

They may indeed have planted bombs and attacked US interests during that time, but when they did they were under CIA orders. Their job was to become boogeymen.

Then, on 911, as publicly planned and announced in the PNAC document "Rebuilding America's Defenses", the US staged a needed "catalyzing and catastrophic event, like a new Pearl Harbor", in order to convince the US public to accept massive military spending and the scuttling of the constitution.

But of course, that required a sizeable enemy of boogeymen.
So they just used the Taliban and Bin Ladin. They had to hype up the public perception of their size, wealth, organization, capabilities etc. But that's easy when you control the media.

Mass delusion requires a perceived threat.

It could be anything from war, famine, epidemics, aliens, asteroid collisions, ecological meltdown, ....whatever.

But one of the handiest threats is "terrorism". It can appear and disappear at any time. It doesn't require a big scientific scam. And it can produce a lot of genuine fear. All it takes is a few hired guns.

And no, they don't kill generally their mercenaries. If they need some bodies for the news they just waste some innocent civilians and construct a myth about who they were and what they did.

Nah, that's not my position at all.
That's what the media and government are saying.

- The ocean's gonna rise 20 feet.
- An epidemic is gonna wipe us out.
- Terrorists are gonna blow us up.
etc.

MY point of view is that it's all a scam and shouldn't be believed.

Of course, they have ways of making their predictions of death and destruction come true. So, while mental health requires that you realize they are lying about the supposed danger, physical health requires that you stay out of their reach.

O'Reiley and Hannity and all of their kind
all the blithering nonsense called "News" on TV
They're experts at manipulating the mind
inserting emotion where logic should be

A real journalist concentrates on the facts
and avoids any hint of his personal view
but now all the "spin doctors" rant to the max
because their real job is to influence you
