larsvegas: Ok, I have a few questions : I have been a foreigner (in various countries) most of my life and often I ended up dating girls that were foreigners in that country too. So my question is: Would you date a foreigner (or would you be hesitant to date one)? And why/why not?

Do you think a relationship might be more complicated with someone from a different country or would you say that borders are not important? Looking forward to your answers!

I don't think I'd date a foreigner again.
I was married to one and it made for all sorts of problems. He always wanted to move home at some stage and I had no intentions of it.
Also, all holidays are to their home and it's not a holiday when you have to stay with the in laws!

sorry for hijacking the thread. I dated a couple of French guys - not at the same time! They both had very good English but there were a lot of nuances in conversation that I found it hard to translate for them - sense of humour was different, particularly if they were trying to translate to me as part of a French speaking group. A lot of the time it was difficult to participate with their friends.
Personally I'd have no problem dating a foreigner. wave
