Well the Barrow in Carlow is already flowing straight over the weir, with no dropoff. That's a 4/6 foot rise in just a few days. Bring on the floods again. They've build flood defence barriers along the barrow and left a gap in them at the rowing club for access... How Irish is that????

OMG...the Shannon was very high in Limerick yesterday. It was only 2 or 3 feet from the harbour top!

Ah well my kids loved the floods last year.. spent a day travelling to and fro on a tractor through them.... Kids.. they can always see the good in bad events.
At least you're in the tidal zone, and the water can drop off a bit

Spotted them unloading 200 tonnes of sandbags around Alfie Byrne in Clontarf earlier in the week - that spot always gets it bad - especially down into Fairview - there was 2ft of water across the road for 24hrs
