I believe people can fall in love with an image online,but you'll never really know that particular person unless you spend time with them in real life.People can often put up a real good front on the computer and then act totally different in person.As in the true self can appear.

I've yet to meet anyone from a dating site, let alone
fall in love...
However, I have fallen for guys because of the internet
when I used to play MMORPG's.
I find it more difficult through dating websites than
in the online games I played. Because in the games, you
develop friendships that evolve slowly into relationships,
unexpectedly.
Whereas on dating sites, well, we all know why we're all
here so I don't feel it's as genuine...

I believe it can. If anything I think it is easier over the internet. In general, people are more open with one another and have less fear of rejection. Now that being said, no matter how people feel about one another, I do believe that people have to meet to really see if that spark can turn into a burning fire.
One of the dangers however of the internet is, I think it's also easy to fall in love with the idea of falling in love with a particular person and alot of times that can be mistaken as love for the person.

In a sense, I disagree. I find it quite easily to do so. In general, in the forums here at least, we tend to really just look for friendship in one another, but occaisionally something does blossom into more. Whether it's by chance, fate or whatever someone may believe, it does happen.
