I totally know what you mean though. My last company I worked for, I did overtime, worked when I was sick, took on extra work for no extra pay or even a thank you. I got sick, and continued working because my work load was so much that I didnt want to get behind..ended up with double pneumonia, so I HAD to take time off then.
After some years there, by the time I did leave, I was physicaly and mentally exhausted...I went back to pick up some things a few weeks later, amazing how quickly I was forgotten.
Never again..If it gets to teh point where I have to work for someone else again, I'm not killing myself for them.

Does it ever seem that the more you do, the more they want ?
The company I work for is team-based for production schedules, there is only two of us that stay overtime to meet deadlines, the rest of the 'Team' leaves at 5 o'clock. We never hear Thank-You, or nothing from our boss concerning the extra effort we put into our work. We worked an 80 hr week as of today and got chewed out because we didn't finish a task yesterday that isn't due until Wednesday.
We decided to work regular hours this week from 7 to 5, see how they feel about us then !!
